Committed to Safety
"Ledegar Roofing Company, Inc. is committed to creating a safe work site for our employees, subcontractors, customers and general public on all of our job sites.
Our health and safety program establishes policies and guidelines to assist in the prevention of occupational injuries. We believe that the prevention of injuries is essential to all business functions and every employee has the responsibility to maintain this commitment to safety." - Gary Wilson, Safety Director
Creating a Safety Culture
The safety director, project managers, field supervisor and foremen are all involved in the pre-planning process before any project begins.
Topics such as risk management, basic safety reminders, close call reporting and dangers specific to the job are discussed in detail in order to minimize potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Regular jobsite safety talks given by the foremen and field supervisor give employees a chance to discuss topics relating to the changing hazards of current work environments.
Ledegar Roofing Company, Inc. believes that providing consistent, continuous training has a tremendous impact on the safety habits and culture of our organization. All employees are required to undergo 160 hours of training. We also work in conjunction with the ABC Safety Program as well as our insurance company's Risk Management group to insure we are current in the ever-changing work environment.
